USB Safeguard is a free solution that offers the ability to protect files on USB flash drive. Users can password protect their files that are stored within the drive. There is an option to enter the password using onscreen keyboard if you’re afraid that the computer you’re using has a keylogger application installed. Another helpful feature is the ability to backup your password in a file that you can use when you forget what the password is. You can protect only selected files or the entire files in your flash drive. USB Safeguard encrypts your files with AES 256 bits encryption.
Additionally, there is a file shredding option you probably want to use when you want to remove or delete files in your USB flash drive to prevent any successful recovery attempt.
